Pillar Consulting Group provided the civil engineering services on the development of a new building pad at Heritage Mall in Albany, Oregon. The project required several tie-ins with the existing infrastructure, both public and private, and coordination to keep the surrounding parking lot from being impacted during construction.

Pillar Consulting Group worked quickly to provide site-specific approaches and foundations for several pre-fabricated pedestrian bridges that were being installed in a new park in Salem, Oregon. In addition, Pillar assisted the contractor with the foundation design for a large softball field backstop, too.

Expanding the existing 100,000 square foot industrial facility on this 9-1/2 acre site by 35,000 square feet required careful planning and site layout. Pillar assisted the owner with the necessary land-use permit applications, mitigation of wetlands and extension of water and sanitary sewer facilities.

This 23 acre site required planning to deal with wetlands, drainage, soil conditions and public infrastructure availability. The project provides up to five large, build-to-suit pads for industrial and warehouse buildings with full-service from city infrastructure and franchise utilities, complete with rail access.

Development of this 7.6 acre site required us to keep an eye toward the future growth of this very successful company. The site was configured to allow for up to three future phases of plant expansion, complete with a storm water conveyance and detention system that could easily accommodate the changes.
